WHAT TYPES OF TALENT DOES THE AGENCY REPRESENT?
Stylé Model Management represents fashion models, photo models and actors for fashion, advertising, photo shoots and audiovisual projects.
HOW DOES LOCAL OR INTERNATIONAL PLACEMENT WORK?
The agency connects its talent, directly or through partners, with brands, image professionals, magazines and clients according to the needs of fashion shows, campaigns, shoots, events or film productions.
DO I HAVE TO BE TALL AND SLIM TO BE A MODEL?
For international placement: yes, for fashion models. For photo models, international placement generally does not take place from Africa. For actors, other criteria are considered.
I DO NOT HAVE PHOTOS TAKEN BY A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER
That is not necessary: we want photos of you. What matters is that they are clear, preferably taken outdoors in natural light but not direct sunlight, natural and makeup-free, against a plain light background, with hair preferably tied back, and without retouching or Photoshop. Preferably wear shorts or fitted trousers and a simple top. A good smartphone and a friend or family member will do perfectly well.
CAN I VISIT THE AGENCY?
For now, the agency is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Baobab, only from July through the end of September and by appointment. Castings will be organized there in the future.
DO I HAVE A CHANCE OF BECOMING ONE OF THE AGENCY’S MODELS?
Stylé’s mission is to discover New Faces and present them to its partners worldwide. It will of course depend on your measurements, age and look. Stylé responds to current market demand, and the profiles sought change often.
I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE
Everyone has to start somewhere. We preferably look for young girls and boys with no experience — beginners with specific distinctive features, known as “New Faces” in the industry.
DO I HAVE TO PAY TO JOIN THE AGENCY?
No. Legitimate agencies do not charge models to join, train or guide them; fake agencies do. Stylé represents models and earns a commission only when a model works, which is why the agency is selective about the talent it signs. Some masterclasses, however, may be paid.
DO I HAVE TO QUIT SCHOOL OR MY STUDIES?
Never. Education is the absolute priority. We organize schedules accordingly and discuss possibilities, sometimes even with schools. Some of our models study in Europe or are French, which can make organization easier than living in Africa year-round.
WHERE IS STYLÉ MODEL MANAGEMENT LOCATED?
The agency is located in Amitié 1 – Point E, Dakar, Senegal. Stylé also has a branch in Lagos, Nigeria.
